BONAPARTE

Brick towers rising from the Zeeland polder, where old and new meet.

A private residence on a triangular plot in a Dutch fortress village on land reshaped by Napoleon. The design answers one question - how do you add value to a place already extraordinary - with interlocking brick towers around a sheltered courtyard. Handmade brick collides with contemporary aluminum, creating a building that could have stood three hundred years yet could only have been built today.
